SmugMug Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SmugMug developers and end users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I typically see high levels of engagement on the images that I post to Facebook, and somewhat less engagement on Flickr and Google+. Unfortunately that number is even lower on Smugmug.

What tools and or techniques are available for me to encourage engagement across my Smugmug portfolio?

Is the reduced engagement symmetric with the view count? (ie. if you got 5% of the views on X that FB has, do you get 5% the engagement there too?) Or is it disproportionate? – cabbey Jan 25 '12 at 23:50

This may be more complicated, but initially, there is a share functionality from your SmugMug site that you can use which will help draw traffic to your Smug account: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93256-quick-share-on-facebook-and-twitter

That said, it may not be the end-all solution, especially if your current practice is to upload watermarked images directly (to facebook). You might also consider these techniques in order to post to your wall (and subsequently drive traffic to your SmugMug account):

Best of luck!
