SmugMug Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SmugMug developers and end users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have been doing some more customization and have noticed that not all Gallery styles are available to the viewer. For example in my control panel for Gallery Settings I can pick from

  • SmugMug
  • Thumbnails
  • Slideshow
  • Journal
  • SmugMug Small (deprecated)
  • Traditional (deprecated)
  • Journal (old) (deprecated)
  • Filmstrip
  • Critique

However in the guest view they only have

  • SmugMug
  • Thumbnails
  • Slideshow
  • Journal

Is there a way to allow the Journal (Old) into the list and perhaps eliminate Slideshow?

FWIW Filmstrip and Critique are deprecated as well - they won't be enhanced or modified any further. – Andy Williams Feb 1 '12 at 2:02
Thanks for the clarification. I think I have some features for over at UserVoice... – Bradford Benn Feb 1 '12 at 18:00

You can remove items with this bit of JS and CSS.

I don't know of a way to add items. And FWIW, Filmstrip and Critique are also deprecated, these styles won't be enhanced and as we add new features they likely won't be able to take advantage of them.

We intend to remove the visitor style choice button and put it solely in the hands of the gallery owner with our new gallery style.
