SmugMug Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SmugMug developers and end users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Does anyone have a way to add a button to the Tools Menu drop down or any menu for that matter. I would use it for a quicker way to the Advanced Customizer

I was hoping to add the customization tag to this question, but the site won't let me (not enough reputation). – jfriend00 Feb 6 '12 at 22:33

The only way to add an item to the Tools menu would be to write custom javascript that runs in your page to add an item to the Tools menu that takes you to the correct link. I'm not aware of such a customization script that someone has already written.

Instead of doing that, you can just make your own bookmark for the site-wide-customization page in your browser. No need to have the link in the actual Smugmug page. That's how I do it and, as long as I'm already logged in, it takes my right to the advanced customizer page.

I actually have bookmarks for a number of Smugmug-related pages all in one "Smugmug" bookmarks folder:

  • My homepage
  • The site-wide-customization page
  • The control panel
  • My statcounter statistics
  • The uservoice feature requests page
  • Smugmug release notes
  • The Smugmug Stack Exchange Site
  • The Smugmug Stack Exchange Meta Site
