Is there any way to add only one photo from a gallery to a smugmug community instead of whole gallery? Without duplicating the file to a new gallery.

At this time community participation is on a per gallery basis. The only way to share a single or small groups of photos would be to have them in a new gallery. You might consider using a Smart Gallery or Collected photo so that the photos are virtual copies instead of an uploaded second copy.

Ok, thanks for the reply. – Tomasz Nowicki Feb 21 '12 at 13:04
Doc, I'm not sure if smart gallery / collected photos work with communities. I think for a photo to show up in a community, it would need to be uploaded to the gallery added to the community – Sebastian Feb 21 '12 at 14:18
@Sebastian Yes, they do work. Tested and verified before I posted. I created a new test here: docwalkersphotography.com/Other/community-test/… – Doc Walker Feb 21 '12 at 14:33

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough. I think the issue is with the community populars. Voting up a collected / smart gallery photo doesn't seem to include it in the populars. I thumbed this photo up - lets see if it shows in the community populars. – Sebastian Feb 21 '12 at 15:22
Ok, Seb is right in that although the gallery will show, the collected or smart photos will not show in the populars. I am reporting this as a bug. – Doc Walker Feb 21 '12 at 16:29
