So, I've had a portfolio of landscape photos for some time, and I'd like to get them to a larger audience. What can I do to increase my exposure?

Are you using keywords and tagging ? Are You telling your friends ? Are you linking to social media such as Facebook and Google+ ? May seem basic, but people have to know your portfolio is there.

This answer is fairly simple, but hits the nail on the head. The best way to get exposure is to expose the portfolio. :) Perhaps a blog, facebook, google+, or other forums would help increase exposure. Find the audience that would most appreciate your work, and prompt/request/reward them for spreading the word... It's a guerrilla effort, but stay the course! – Cody Bennett Jan 26 '12 at 20:35

First identify your target audience and then go from there. That will guide you where to best put your resources.

Scream it from the roof tops. Write it on the bathroom wall. Put it on a bumper sticker so that people have to read it while sitting at a stop light... Do anything to get your name out there. SmugMug | Market yourself

By saying users, I assume you mean within SmugMug and not social media or other options. First, join SmugMug's Dgrin forum (www.dgrin.com). The forum is beyond valuable for interaction with other Smuggers, customization and will definitely assist you with spreading your work via the interaction. Another way is to search for other SmugMug sites and comment on their work. Be sincere and don't spam! You can then request that they visit your SmugMug site and return the favor. Another way would be to visit the SmugMug Facebook page and meet others like you and trade website links. Best of luck!
