I have a gallery let's call it 'Kids Kung Fu' under the Category 'Family', Subcategory 'Children'. Normally the breadcrumb trail for this gallery would indeed display the category and subcategory. Since I've added this gallery to an Event I created, this is no longer the case. Whether you access this gallery through the event URL, or by clicking your way through the categories, you'll wind up seeing a new breadcrumb trail that points back to the gallery.

Breadcrumb trail before adding gallery to an Event:

me > Family > Children >

Breadcrumb trail after adding gallery to an Event:

Event Name > Gallery Name

In both cases the URL remains the same. I prefer to have the breadcrumb trail remain as it was before adding this gallery to an Event - is that possible?

[UPDATE] I think I just noticed when the issue is happening... As a guest, with the site password, if you visit the Gallery before you ever visit the event, by navigating through the categories - you'll see the first breadcrumb trail as I'd expect. If you visit the Event's gallery, you'll see the second breadcrumb trail leading back to the Event page - I'd expect that too. However - this is when it seems a bit buggy - If you've visited the Event, and you later browse through the categories from the homepage (or just directly to the URL) to get to that same gallery, you'll see the second 'event-style' breadcrumb trail. Think this is a bug? I'd expect in the second case to see the first breadcrumb trail.

It should be Me > Event Name > Gallery Name. post a link to the event so we can see and maybe help further? – Andy Williams Feb 23 '12 at 0:57
I would think so too, but it's actually not. The event is private, happy to post you the link privately but not on the public forum. – webby Feb 23 '12 at 3:09
When you visit an event page, it's likely that a cookie is set that tells us what breadcrumb to display. If you clear your SmugMug and custom domain cookies (if you use one), the cookie should be cleared and display the regular breadcrumb for your galleries as long as the event page isn't visited. Can you give that a try? – Sebastian Feb 23 '12 at 11:06
Indeed, when you visit the Event a cookie gets set with the format: – webby Feb 23 '12 at 17:43
SG-NNNN=YYYY Where NNNN looks like the unique identifier for that Event URL, and YYYY looks like an integer. Clearing this cookie shows the original Gallery breadcrumb trail. – webby Feb 23 '12 at 17:50
