I am thinking of creating a page for listing the prices of services (Not photos per say, but more like photo shoot prices). SmugMug doesn't seem to have an obvious way to display a page listing information, all it does is allow for putting Galleries. How can I do this using the SmugMug engine, without customization?

There are about as many ways that you can do this as ways that you pose a model. Some basic ideas or themes that I have seen professionals use include:
To keep it "looking" professional - I would suggest making sure the page design and style matches the rest of your portfolio. I have seen too many poorly integrated sites that have a portfolio that is keyed completely different then the blog, or other pages. If the theme of your portfolio and or personality is laid back, and fun, keep the price page of a similar theme. An example would be, if you like to use the word "awesome" or "kick butt" elsewhere in your pages, why not the pricing page. On the other hand, you also want a hint of elegance, at least in the wedding industry. You want to treat your customers with a hint of a "personal concierge". Overall, I think the idea is to fit it in with your current them, keep the colors tame, fonts readable, and as simple as it needs to be to get your audience engaged and contacting you. |
