I really enjoy the new gallery style that is available from the SmugMug Darkroom. It looks like it just creates a cookie such as in the following screenshot shown below. Is it possible for me to set this cookie for viewers of my website so that they can see the new gallery style? If they would have to click a button on my site that would be worth it to me.

New Gallery Style Cookie

No, this is not possible. The new gallery style is in SmugMug's Darkroom (/darkroom at the end of your site url) and only available right now to logged-in users. Even if you are cookied for the new style, your visitors will still see the current version of the site. When we roll out the new style for all, of course then your visitors will be able to see it.

I tested it this by opening up a gallery logged in, then logging out and opening up the same gallery in a new window. I can still see the new gallery style. See screenshot(i.imgur.com/9IAzc.png). From this it makes me think being logged in isn't a requirement. What am I missing? – dpollitt Mar 15 '12 at 19:13

Your browser still has the cookie. But your visitor's browser won't have the cookie. – Andy Williams Mar 15 '12 at 19:52
I have found that the best way to get a visitor view is to either use another browser, this addresses the cookie issue, or a completely different machine. These work if you have not used the new style on those other machine/browser. – Bradford Benn Mar 15 '12 at 23:16
