Events: I have a public event but public galleries are not showing

My public event contains a public gallery but the galleries only show up when using the participant code on the URL and not the /event/eventname simple url. From the documentation I thought optional event registration "allows person to browse the event as a guest".

Not sure what the problem is but the cure is to remove the gallery and save the event and re-add the gallery and then re-save the event. It works fine now, try it.
