SmugMug Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SmugMug developers and end users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I use galleries for online proofing and for brides to pick which images they want in their wedding book. I have the brides make a comment under the images they want but my last bride used the 'thumbs up' symbol instead of commenting. I have been trying to filter just those images and have not been successful. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You can go to http://{yoursite}.smugmug.com/popular and see them. But really the best way to have your brides do this is to use SmugMug's Events feature. This way, your bride's favorites are put in a special gallery.

... a special gallery you can sync into LR FTW! – cabbey May 18 '12 at 8:56
Thanks! I did go to popular and nothing is there at all. She said she would go back through and comment, Im just trying to save her the time! – Laura Olson May 18 '12 at 16:42
@LauraOlson Is the gallery password protected or unlisted? Photorank only works in public, not password protected galleries. If you're a Pro user, instead of having your client comment on all photos, take a look at the events feature that Andy suggested. With it, your client could click on the heart icon below a photo to make it a favorite. – Sebastian May 22 '12 at 8:26

A similar workaround approach to what Andy suggested, that is able to filter down to just one gallery is to apply a unique keyword to every image in the gallery, one that doesn't exist anywhere else on your site. Then goto that keyword's page and click the "most popular" option from the sort by controls on the breadcrumb trail.

But really, events and favorites is a MUCH better way of dealing with these.
