SmugMug Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SmugMug developers and end users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've got a site for a church that works with partners doing human rights, social justice, etc. work in different parts of the world.

The map for my main page to has one "pin" per partner organization/worker, so the whole globe will be visible. Until now I've been mapping one photo per gallery. Last week an overseas worker uploaded a lot of photos from the Philippines from a (too) smart camera, which automatically "mapped" over 100 photo locations on SmugMug.

Now the main page map zooms in on the Philippines, because that's where the highest concentration of photos is. I can disable all her photos from being mapped, but would like to have one.

Is there a way of "unmapping" photos? I can't find anything in "help."

Thanks!

Sarah

I started doing something similair mapping all the places I have been on business and I found that I was not happy with the results. It just did not look nice. Or evenly distributed. For instance, I have been to Miamisburg, OH four times but only have one picture. I have been to San Juan, Puerto Rico and have multiple pictures as the sights were a little more photogenic. So what I decided to do instead was create a google map that has one point per location. You can then do a screen capture and place that in SmugMug and update as needed.

You can go to each photo and "edit geography" to remove the map coordinates. Tools>this photo>edit geography.
