I am developing a web application using the smugmug api and phpsmug. I want the application to display all thumb images. However, currently it is only showing images from public galleries, and not showing images from private galleries unless I have already viewed the private image on the Smug Mug site.

Any idea why this would be, and how I can get the private images to show?

Do you have external links allowed in the private galleries? External links must be turned on for images to show on external sites. Check the gallery settings.

Fantastic, thanks Andy, that was the solution. I manually changed the setting and the images are now showing. Am now working on getting the app to change the setting. – Norm May 30 '12 at 8:23

I'm not an API expert, but are you sure that you're logged in or are using the OAuth feature to get owner access to the account?

You can check the getting started section of the API for more details on what OAuth is and how to use it.

If you still have an issue, I suggest you edit your post to include a specific code exampl so that the API experts might be able to see where the issue is.
