Is there are way to get more than 1000 photos in a smart gallery? I'm trying to create smart galleries using family members names as keywords and some people are in more than 1000 photos...trying to find an easy way to get around this. Thanks!

If you have Lightroom 4 or higher you can use the integrated publish feature to come close to getting the same result. However it will result in mutiple uploads of photos.

What you would do is create the smart collection in Lightroom under the Publish Service > SmugMug option. Then whenever an image that matches the conditions will be marked to upload. This process is slightly more manual, however if you are already using Lightroom for DAM it is not that much of an additional step.

Be aware that using that approach it will still be limited to 5,000 images as any gallery would be on SmugMug.

I am afraid not at this time, sorry. Smart Gallery rules are limited to 1000 photos for performance reasons. Another option is to use the keywords view. A link can be created for each keyword like: http://yournickname.smugmug.com.com/keyword/familymembersname
