What error message are you getting? Can you try going to www.smugmug.com in your browser and logging out. Then log back in. That helps as your browser cookie is what is used to log you into the Picasa uploader. – Doc Walker Jun 26 '12 at 14:22
I'm having the same problem too. I think this may not be user-specific. Could it be anything buggy on the Smugmug server end? At the end of the upload, the message says upload wasn't successful and when I checked the error log, there was nothing in the log. – user650 Jul 3 '12 at 13:53
Same problem here. Logging out/in on smugmug.com doesn't help, opening/closing Picasa doesn't help either...error log is empty. – user655 Jul 5 '12 at 16:16
I also have the problem. Here's my test log, dear developers. <A>The point where I get the error is when the upload bar on picasa has completed and the smugmug window opens in the browser.(smugmug.com/photos/picasa/…) <B>I'm using google chrome. <C>The error message I get is "Errors 1 of your photos failed to upload. Click here to view your error log." <D>When I click the link, I get "No upload errors in the past day" I have tried the following: 1) logged out in browser - no help 2) logged out and cleared last day of coo – user666 Jul 10 '12 at 20:21
Baaahhh!! Same problem here, and frankly it will not even upload ONE single photo. I believe it is a problem between Picasa and Smugmug. After the most recent updates to Picasa this problem started. I have to believe that something changed in Picasa to render the Smugmug uploader useless.... So now the fight begins. Who's problem is it?? Worst part is all the users out here are screwed until someone gives a damn enough to fix it. Smugmug I have a Pro account. – user682 Jul 23 '12 at 13:08

It takes some serious guessing here, but smugmug has been having trouble with external uploaders with NEW ALBUMS. Create the album on smugmug's website, then upload to that through Picasa.

For what it is worth, this uploader, while usually easy to use, is one of our least robust and reliable uploaders. As well, it is limited to 100 files per session. If a connection error is encountered, during the upload, it won't retry. In fact, it will cause all files to fail. Even though it may report that all files uploaded successfully and even if the error occur on the 99th file uploaded.

If the error you're getting is a general script error, you should be able to work through this and the 2nd error message. Just close the message windows (reply Yes, for the script error and Cancel Upload for the "can't upload" error message). So after getting the 2nd error message (after logging in) and clicking the Cancel Upload option. Click the Smugmug icon again and uploading will commence.
