I am having an issue where the camera app crashes on one particular picture in the photo library on my iphone 4. I start the app, click on the library button in the lower-left corner, the picture comes up for 1/2 a second, then the app crashes. I've narrowed it down to this one photo since I was able to export and then delete all newer photos trying to solve this problem.

So far I've tried closing the app, rebooting the iphone, reset sharing accounts in the settings. I can't seem to get at my pictures any other way than through the app - is there a way to save the pictures, uninstall the app, then reinstall it?

If you go into the image library, you can save multiple images to the camera roll at once. Move the slider in the upper right from one image to multiple images and then select them (you will have to do this one by one) and then you can click on the 'save to camera roll' button.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I guess I wasn't clear in my explanation. The app crashes as soon as I go into the image library. I was able to export all of my newer images, but anytime this particular image comes into the viewscreen, the app crashes. Now that I have all the new images exported and deleted, and this image is the "first" one in the library, the app crashes as soon as I enter the library. – Andy Sep 17 '12 at 2:19
If you've done everything but reinstall the app, you're only recourse at this point is to use something like iExplorer or a similar program to recover the images. As soon as you delete the program, all the images are removed as well. – Ryan - Support Hero Sep 17 '12 at 3:10
That's what I ended up doing. Thanks! – Andy Sep 18 '12 at 0:26
