SmugMug Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for SmugMug developers and end users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I would like to set up a personal site that would be public co-exsist with my kid's team site photos. I would other members of the team to view and download team photos but I do not want them to have access to our family personal photos. All photos would be open for public viewing.

For example, say my site url is myfamilysite.smugmug.com. I make a category named "family" and one named "team". How would i link the "team" folder/category so that none of the viewers could view my "family" images??

If you make a gallery public, visitors to your site or any of your galleries can browse to it. So if you didn't want visitors to be able to view your family galleries, you could make them unlisted. Then use a sharegroup to combine your family galleries to be able to easily share them with family members. Check out the sharegroup help page for more details on using sharegroups.
