I am new to all this have been a member of Webshots from 2000 Can I upload wallpaper from Webshots? And use photos from Smugmug as desktop wallpaper? Please help as Webshots is closing very soon and I heard hundreds of people have lost all their collections as Webshots transfers to Smile Webshots. An unmitigated disaster waiting to happen.I am happy to pay if Smugmug could become my new desktop wallpaper. Thank you for your time.

I'm not aware of a way to migrate photos from Webshots to SmugMug, but if you can download your photos from Webshots, you should be able to just upload them to SmugMug with the browser uploader. SmugMug supports feeds and you should be able to use them to display your SmugMug photos as a desktop background (which I think is what you mean by desktop wallpaper). Depending o what system you use, there are tutorials on using feeds for Mac and Windows. You can access feeds for different pages via the share button > get a link > feed links tab within your galleries. For details on SmugMug feeds, check out this page. |
