Could someone please expand on this answer or direct me to a manual for camera awesome? I have the same problem, I don't understand how the CA photo storage and the iOS camera roll work together. CA is taking up way too much storage on my ipad mini and I seem to have duplicate photos in both. I don't want to upload photos to smug mug. Thanks.

There are a couple options. You can use the save to Camera Roll option and then download the file to your computer using iTunes. You can also upload the file to a SmugMug account and download it from there. If the file is small enough, you can email it to yourself and open it from a computer.

The images are stored in the app unless you set the option for them to be also be saved to the camera roll. Deleting the app does delete the in app storage.
