Everything on SmugMug just "works" from the UK, so there's really no difference right now. We just added the ability to buy in your local currency, so you'll find GBP in the shopping cart now. Today, prints and gifts will be fulfilled by our US Labs. But soon that will change. It's the #1 feature request on our feedback forum and it's not being ignored.

It is my understanding that Bay Photo as well as SmugMug do not accept JPEG 2000 files. JPEG 2000 has not really caught on due to many reasons that I outlined in this previous answer.
SmugMug(excluding SmugVault and video file types) supports JPEG, GIF, and PNG files. Note that PNG files cannot be printed from SmugMug either. JPEG 2000 is its own format ...

Only a few browsers these days are color managed and actually recognize and respond to an image's color space. If you try to view an image that is not in sRGB (like AdobeRGB or ProPhotoRGB) in a non-color-aware browser, the colors will look absolutely horrible. The first step is to make sure that your monitor is color calibrated. Some ways to validate that you have done that correctly exist in this previous answer: How can I Validate that my monitor is color calibrated?
Once you have that set, you need to look at the color space that you are embedding in your images, and make sure that that matches what the ...

Using one of the SmugMug affiliated printshops would be an excellent choice if you would require a guided process.
However, a professional would use software like Adobe InDesign to achieve a high degree of freedom in the design and layout of the book. Here is an example of a book my girlfriend made recently like that. By incident she had it printed with ...

In addition to the pointer from dpollitt I also recommend that you order a calibration print from SmugMug to use for reference. I keep my monitors calibrated using Huey Pro and soft proof before I send to the printer. However the two final steps I do is calibrate my reference for lack of a better phrase by looking at the calibration print and the image on ...
