When looking at integration between SmugMug and a blog, consider a couple factors: Display of Photos/Video on the Blog There are a variety of ways to display photos and videos (hosted at SmugMug) on your blog. Viewers will have different tolerance levels for the number of images in a single gallery; there is a technological limitation of 5000 images (see here.) For my wedding galleries, I choose to have a single gallery with "all images" (approx 300-500), but each photo is keyworded with appropriate tags. I then use approximately a dozen Smart Galleries to ...

I have not found a perfect solution, but I have found a solution. I use Lightroom to manage my photo collection. I also use it to publish to SmugMug. Using the Publish feature in Lightroom 3 I also created a publish service to my "media" computer across my LAN. This service is set to publish to my hard drive and have a maximum image size of 1920 x 1080, 240 ...

I can't find any "official" stance on this, although the help site does explain that you can have an "unlimited number of JPEG, GIF, and PNG files". If you have other file types or size requirements that don't fit in those requirements then try SmugVault. I don't see any reason why you can't upload any digital creations that you have as long as they fit ...

SmugMug supports only one Custom Domain per site, so you can't have multiple custom names pointing to different parts of your site. And, it's best for SEO if you keep everything on ond custom domain. I do not think there is a real number on this and that SmugMug does a pretty good job presenting this anyway. I think as long as they are logically grouped together it is fine. For my personal wedding I broke it apart inside a category that had Wedding Shower, Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding, and Wedding Reception galleries. It makes it easier to find a picture ...

A typical workflow would be: Import from card/camera to Lightroom, edit/adjust images, select images to Publish by adding them to the SmugMug Publish area, then upload by clicking Publish. Exporting is saving another copy of an image for some purpose (to a harddrive, or perhaps in a different format). Publishing does that and more. By Publishing, you ...

There isn't a way to make a separate site for just you and your mother on one account. Each would have to have their own accounts. You could create an upload link for her so she could upload and view images, but she couldn't make any changes to the site itself. http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/526320 Your questions would be best answered ...

If I understand what you are thinking about, it might be just as possible/effective to also do it via two separate web sites that both point to the same smugmug account. Not as a custom domain, but as custom navigation from there. Allow me to illustrate Your have a domain called "coolstuff.com" and another called "otherstuff.com" you also have a smugmug ...

Matching a blogger blog to a smugmug site is relatively straightforward, although yes, it does require copying code. In most cases you need the code for your banner and navbar. If you used the SmugMug Advanced Site-Wide customization the code can be copied from there. If you used the Easy Customizer, you will need to use a tool like the Firefox Web ...

They'll never run on the same server, so that level of integration is not possible. What you can do, if you have your own domain name, is to give your smugmug site a subdomain name. For example, I have http://reinout.vanrees.org for my blog and http://photos.reinout.vanrees.org for my smugmug site. That helps a bit regarding URLs. There are easy ways to ...
