Migrating from flickr, issues with Smugglr and Migratr Eric, Click Tools in the Firefox toolbar and you will see Smugglr. That will start the plugin. Follow the instructions in the app to begin the transfer. |

What DNS settings do I need to setup my custom domain? In reference to Cabbeys comment "Also note that some (really great) registrars allow a CNAME for the main domain itself, so you could have a CNAME for both 'www' and '@'." I need to point out that this is very rare. ie. none of the registrars that I work with regularly allow it. Of the ones that I have seen allow it, they did not work and ended up causing problems. Setting them up correctly using the setup we recommend worked. |

Does SmugMug offer a mobile app for customers to make purchases? Scott, I am afraid that we do not have an app specifically for customer use and ordering at this time. It is on our list of things to do. Part of the problem is things like cropping which are very important to the order process do not translate well to the mobile devices. highlighting areas of photos Tami, do you need to retain the original image on SmugMug for printing purposes without the mark? I personally use an app like Skitch for marking images and it works well. I then upload the image to SmugMug for display and linking. We need to know a little more detail about how you want to use the image. |

Why are my uploaded videos pixelated? Russ, you should not need to use Streamclip unless there is a problem with uploading the video requiring conversion. I use a GoPro and can upload straight from the camera. The only time I use StreamClip or other editing software just for processing is when I need to lower the data rate to get the file size down. The data rate is often too high straight from the camera. You want to retain the same resolution settings if possible. |

Uploading to Smugmug from Picasa What error message are you getting? Can you try going to www.smugmug.com in your browser and logging out. Then log back in. That helps as your browser cookie is what is used to log you into the Picasa uploader. |

Does SmugMug require the uploaded pictures to be photographs? Not that I am aware of. Instead of telling you what you can upload, we pretty much tell you exactly what you listed above about what cannot be uploaded. I actually love seeing the new ways that artists of all types use us. |

Does SmugMug require the uploaded pictures to be photographs? Our official stance is that non-photo images that meet our requirements are allowed. We have digital artists, and other traditional media like painters etc that use SmugMug to display their works of art. Is there any way to add only certain photos to smugmug communities? Ok, Seb is right in that although the gallery will show, the collected or smart photos will not show in the populars. I am reporting this as a bug. |

What services are available to hire to customize my smugmug site? I converted this to a community wiki answer and divided up the answers to allow others to edit, and so that users can vote for the best customization companies, and leave comments for the individual companies instead of lumping it all on one answer. |
