Software developer and photographer. I love my gadgets and photography equipment, but photography gets priority from my wallet.

How do I make two homepage and site views - one for friends and family, and another for anonymous visitors? It's interesting how often this issue comes up. I face the same problem. Hopefully SmugMug listens to this feedback and comes up with category passwords or something because I don't really want to have to buy a separate account. |

Thumbnails for categories with protected galleries Thanks for the information. For some reason I hadn't made the connection that it was simply the first gallery in the category. |

Building a SmugMug pro site for both personal use and commercial sales I think the disconnect with using a personal photos category is that SmugMug doesn't currently allow you to make a category unlisted. This would be nice because it wouldn't be shown on your main site but you could point friends and family at an unlisted category. Then within that category they could browse galleries at will. Unlisted galleries don't provide that flexibility and instead require a link to each one. |

Category Security The meta site is for discussing the SmugMug StackExchange site, not for feature requests or SmugMug suggestions. I believe this specific feature has been requested at the UserVoice site. |
