comment How do I make my homepage slideshow stretch to fit the page?
I guess we could discuss this on meta, but there's a particular way that SE sites are run and folks are encouraged NOT to put multiple somewhat separate questions in one question. I know that's not how users do it on dgrin, but this is SE now. For example, the best answer for splitting your homepage into multiple pages would have absolutely nothing to do with a stretchy slideshow and be more general purpose. It's all about whether Smugmug is going to encourage this forum to work like the best practices of other SE sites. Particularly interesting for questions you are seeding it with.

comment How can I add category descriptions?
The link doesn't help much though because people will just copy the code from here rather than go follow the link and copy the code from there. So once this is out-of-date, folks will get out-of-date code.

I feel a bit uncomfortable with a copy of code from Smugmug's FAQ being offered here as "the solution" to a problem. What happens if Smugmug needs to fix the code in the FAQ? This version doesn't get fixed and users now find the old version and use it. Isn't it safer just to reference the master location of the code rather than make a new copy that won't be maintained.

This is actually two separate questions: 1) how to put a slideshow on a page by itself and 2) how to make a stretchy slideshow that expands to fill the page. I'd recommend this be split into two separate questions.

comment Why limit to sRGB?
@LarryCohn - Smugmug could choose to work with print labs that allow other colorspaces besides sRGB (there certainly are such labs), but my point was that the requirement to display the image on the web across all browsers requires sRGB. Heck, the most advanced pro workflow delivers the print to the lab in the colorspace of the print device itself so it can be proofed in the profile of the actual colorspace that it will end up in and tweaked there if needed to manage borderline colors. But delivering a single image to Smugmug that can also be used for web display is not compatible with that.

comment How should I set up a page displaying prices for service?
This should now be reopened. As it is written now, it's a question about how to make a pricing page on Smugmug which seems like a legit question. Can an admin, please reopen?

comment Why does the administation bar disappear sometimes?
@ahockley - When the custom URL doesn't work, but the .smugmug.com URL does, that is a sign that it's a cookie issue - the cookie for your custom domain is not properly established.

comment Do SmugMug galleries & slideshows work on iOS devices that don't support Flash?
@dpollitt - the question states "Does SmugMug offer HTML5 support or some other means...". I believe 3rd party slideshows to be "other means" and to be relevant and useful information to the question.

@dpollitt - this answer offers an additional option above and beyond the Smugmug slideshow. If you use the JFriend HTML5 slideshow, you get full iOS and Android compatibility (along with all regular browsers) and a lot more configuration options than the built-in Smugmug slideshow
