How to update the image on SmugMug when the file is edited in PS and uploaded using LR? @BradfordBenn I've looking at all the feedback from image syncing in general and working up some ideas for improvements. Once such improvement is an option that sets a preference for PSD or TIFF files, so in the event that you have a match for both a RAW and a PSD, it would select the PSD without showing the Conflict Resolution dialog. |

When Uploading from Lightroom, is there an advantage to Jeffrey Friedl's plugin vs. the built-in exporter? To some extent this is a limitation of the way LR is designed. The SDK doesn't allow developers to remove an image from a collection programmatically and replace it with a different image. SmugMug's plugin has a workaround for this issue, but it requires a few steps which we're hoping to simplify over time. smugmug.stackexchange.com/a/229/282 |

How to update the image on SmugMug when the file is edited in PS and uploaded using LR? No, unfortunately, LR don't provide the same confirmation dialog that they do for deleting galleries (eg. Yes, No, Leave on Service)...instead, the image record is marked for deletion on the next republish. For this reason, you need to delete the gallery and select 'Leave on SmugMug' |

When Uploading from Lightroom, is there an advantage to Jeffrey Friedl's plugin vs. the built-in exporter? Not having the official SmugMug plugin embedded in LR4 is actually better for users. SmugMug isn't locked into Adobe's quarterly release cycle, so new features and bug fixes can be released as soon as they are ready. |
