Photographer, tech head, and extreme sport enthusiast.
I shoot weddings professionally, and landscapes for fun. My favorite venues are half way up a 14k mountain, Ontario in Fall, and the Mediterranean at sunset.
I love talking technology, new equipment, and Canon lenses.

Differences between Smugmug and Zenfolio for power and pro? Good point, I don't think either of the tags added in that thread are valid "smugdifferences" or "whysmugmug". I removed both on that post as well. I think here tags like "comparison,feature,feature-comparison" or similar would fit. Appending or prefixing with "Smug" makes no sense. |

Besides selling - what are differences between pro and power accounts? Of course, only pros would want to use a lab like Bay Photo - hehe :) |

I am currently doing self fulfillment, what are the main advantages of handing this off to SmugMug? Allowing yourself to focus on photography is the main advantage. Some call this "getting your life back" :) |

I want more information back from an API call but the heavy argument is too much data, options? I want to vote this up twice, great question Shizam. |

How can I keep SmugMug in sync with photos on my computer? Lightroom Publish Services is really built for this, but that all depends on if you have Lightroom or Aperture. Also, if you are really just using this for backup or storage, you might want to try Jungledisk, Dropbox, Amazon S3, BackBlaze, or the like. |

Will Smugmug continue supporting YUI2, even though they now have YUI3? We can continue to discuss in meta or chat if you want, but basically less new tags is better, and simply "yui" is probably the best. Having all 3 is overkill. More info: goo.gl/39qDq Sorry you feel I am the "question police", I don't think me editing tags is draconian, I am trying to help the site. "If you are not comfortable with the idea of your contributions being collaboratively edited by other trusted users, this may not be the site for you." per our FAQ goo.gl/XPVpf I hear you on the "legit" question, I think the meta discussion above will flesh out if this is on topic. |

Will Smugmug continue supporting YUI2, even though they now have YUI3? So you are using this site as a conduit to ask questions of the SmugMug team now? Have you tried emailing them? I don't think that the 3 tags for "yui, yui2, yui3" are irrelevant, I think they are unnecessary. Further - at least in the preliminary discussions on meta, employees of SmugMug have suggested that questions only they can answer should be considered off topic. See meta.smugmug.stackexchange.com/a/9/62 One question has already been closed based on this - smugmug.stackexchange.com/questions/1/… |
